NOCIONES PREVIAS
Para tejer este jersey es necesario saber tejer punto del derecho y del revés, tejer en circular y en plano, montar puntos mediante cualquier método, aunque se recomienda el de la hebra larga; retomar y remontar puntos, el montaje con i-cord, unión y remate de piezas con i-cord, realizar disminuciones, la técnica de los puntos deslizados y cerrar puntos por el método kitchener.
CONSTRUCCIÓN
Este jersey se empieza tejiendo en dos piezas separadas, una delantera y otra trasera, en plano. A continuación se comienza tejiendo un i-cord en la parte lateral del delantero, se continúa tejiendo i-cord “al aire” para tener puntos de unión en el hombro y se continúa “rematando” con i-cord el trasero. Después se levantan puntos por el otro lado del i-cord y se tejen los laterales del cuerpo, que se cierran con método kitchener, dejando las mangas que se terminan en circular hasta la muñeca. Se teje en punto del derecho y punto del revés y puntos deslizados en los paneles centrales. A pesar de parecer una prenda compleja es muy entretenida y supone un reto para tejedoras menos experimentadas.
MUESTRA
24 puntos y 30 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” en punto jersey, sin bloquear. HILO 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) ovillos de Felted Tweed de Rowan en color principal y 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) ovillo de Felted Tweed de Rowan en color de contraste (50% lana, 25% alpaca, 25% viscosa; 50 g / 175m; 1.76 oz / 191 yd). Los colores utilizados son el 193 como color principal y el 207 como color de contraste en la versión mostaza, y el 154 como color principal y el 190 como color de contraste en la versión teja.
AGUJAS
Agujas circulares de 3.75 mm US 5 con cable de 60 cm 24” para las piezas delanteras y traseras; agujas de 3.5 mm US 4 y cable de 80 cm 32” para el resto de la prenda, o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión (sin bloquear). Agujas de un número menor para levantar los puntos en los laterales.

1 marcador para el inicio de vuelta, aguja lanera para rematar las hebras.

SKILLS
To knit this sweater you need to know how to knit and purl, knit in the round and flat, cast on stitches with any method (although the long-tail cast-on is recommended), pick up stitches, make decreases, be familiar with slipping stitches, working an i-cord and joining and binding off pieces with i-cord, and to bind off stitches with the kitchener method.
CONSTRUCTION
This sweater is started to knit in two separate pieces, the front and back panels, by working them flat. GAUGE
24 stitches and 30 rows in 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch, without blocking. YARN 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) balls of Felted Tweed by Rowan in main colour and 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) ball of Felted Tweed by Rowan in contrast colour (50% Wool, 25% Alpaca, 25% Viscose; 50 g /175 m; 1.76 oz / 191 yd). The colourways used are the 193 as main colour and 207 as contrast colour for the ochre version, and the 154 as main colour and 190 as contrast colour for the rust version.
NEEDLES
3.75 mm US 5 circular needles with a cable length of 60 cm 24” for the front and back panels and 3.5 mm US 4 circular needles with a cable length of 80 cm 32” for the rest of the garment, or the required needle size to obtain gauge (without blocking). Needles one size smaller for picking up stitches at the sides.
